What is Sound Therapy?
Sound Therapy is the conscious and intentional use of sound and music to assist in bringing the physical, mental and emotional bodies back into their natural state of balance, well-being and harmony.
There are many forms of Sound Therapy, including toning and chanting, “journeying” using acoustic instruments such as gongs, flutes and Tibetan singing bowls. Other sound therapies include drum therapy, repatterning with tuning forks and VibroAcoustic Sound Therapy.
At the Sound Body Center we offer a number of sound healing modalities which you will find listed below.
VibroAcoustic Sound Therapy
One of the unique specialties of the Sound Body Wholistic Health Center is VibroAcoustic Sound Therapy (VAST). Sound is introduced to the whole body through a massage table or reclining chair with speakers built into it.
Imagine not only hearing the music but feeling it vibrate, resonate and massage every cell in the body! The sound quickly penetrates the muscles, fibers and tissues in the body providing deep relaxation, relief from everyday stress and a joyful ride on waves of musical sound.
